Easy Pieced Sweater

Skill Level: Easy.
Yarn Suggestion: This sweater would be good with almost any size or type of yarn. Will need about 20 to 25 ounces (depending on size). A great option for a child size sweater.

This ancient clothing technique can be woven, knit or crochet in many variations. All you do is make a square with well-placed slits and fold it over for the arms. Short sleeves come to the elbow.

This style is sometimes called the "Bog Shirt." Samples of this design, made from cut skins, have been found in archeological digs - and are one of mankind's oldest clothing designs. It is still a fantastic way to make a shirt for modern knitters.
