For exotic and handspun yarns

Four Sewing Patterns in this Pack

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

They aren't knitting patterns, but they are very fun and creative. This set contains a series of doll patterns that are cut and sewn on the sewing machine. I designed mine all around handspun and woven material, but they can really be made from anything -- even old curtains.

Sewing Fun!

  • Jointed 20" Teddy Bear: This is a cut and sew pattern for a 20" bear. This very nicely crafted pattern can be made with material from any small loom--or go out and buy something from the store. It has plastic joints in the legs and arms (can be purchased in any craft store). Knit him up some overalls and a woven vest and he is quite a dapper bear. I like to add a little music box to squeeze in the tummy so he can sing the Teddy Bear Song. Complete words to the Teddy Bear Song are included in the pattern so you can sing along. *Also included is an extra pattern with different heads so you can turn this doll into your favorite animal: sheep, dog, or bunny.
  • Love is Blind Bear: He has no eyes - but he sure is cute! 12" bear can be increased to any size. A cut and sew pattern that can be made from handspun material or store-bought.
  • Yarn or Rag Sheep: Cut and Sewn from handwoven or commercial fabric. The "wool" is scraps of leftover yarn or rag strips.
  • Sitting Sheep with Sweater: This is a cut-and sew doll that can be made from handwoven material - or use store-bought. To keep him warm, knit a little sweater from your stash of left over yarn. This pattern uses a special doll making technique that I call the "One Stuff" method. Instead of stuffing arms and legs, and handstitching to body of doll, the whole thing is assembled in such a way that you have an entire hollow doll to stuff in one step.

By downloading these four patterns you pay less than the price of three individually mailed! And you don't pay for shipping -- That adds up to big savings.

Yarn Suggestion: Varies with project.

As with all SpinCraft Knitting Patterns these items can be knit to any size, using almost any yarn. What you will do is measure yourself, measure the gauge that comes from your yarn, and then perform some easy calculations to get the figures needed to knit this piece. You are the designer!

And best of all ... You can download all these patterns instantly into your computer!
