Four Lace Patterns in this Pack

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced

A great set of vests for the lace knitter. One of the great things about a SpinCraft Pattern is that you can make them to any size - and that means to any length. With these four lace patterns you have the option of going long or short, tight or lose. You are also given a variety of fun-to-knit lace stitch patterns which you can interchange with other projects. We are calling these vests "Intermediate" in skill level only because the very beginning knitter usually doesn't tackle lace. But they are all really quite easy to accomplish, and yet interesting and beautiful for the experienced knitter.

• Lace Vest: This is a lace vest with very simple shaping. It has a square neck, which makes it very simple to knit, but it is not boring! The lace pattern stitch is mixed with cables for a beautiful affect.
• Color & Cable Vest: This vest has so much variety--and it is beautiful. It also has a nice shaping with a tapered back yoke made with short rows. Looks very nice when worn. The patterns are a mixture of cables and color and a variety of lace stitches with a band of attractive two-color knitting for extra interest. Vest is knit from the top down so it is easy to fit, and can be tried on for length. Very nice.
• Leaf Lace Vest: Something for the elf in you! This vest is made with a very attractive lace stitch, and also has triangular shaped "leaves" at the bottom. In fact, the knitting project starts by making the leaves, then the vest is knit upwards until it fits.
• Summer Lace Vest: Very easy to knit, and we suggest a cotton yarn for a quick summer project. Lace is joined at the throat with one button, and has a variety of lace stitches for interest.

Yarn Suggestion: Lace patterns are best with a fine yarn. And of course, we suggest something exotic like cashmere, silk or cotton! Will need approximately 6-12 ounces per vest, depending on size.

 

As with all SpinCraft Knitting Patterns these items can be knit to any size, using almost any yarn. What you will do is measure yourself, measure the gauge that comes from your yarn, and then perform some easy calculations to get the figures needed to knit this piece. You are the designer!
