Skill Level: Intermediate. A great way to learn how to knit cables. Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 14 to 16 ounces, depending on size, weight of yarn and length.

Attractive vest with one cable. A great beginner's project. This vest is begun at the bottom ribbing and worked up. A very good first cable project - you'll find that cables are easy and fun to knit. Surprisingly simple instructions show how to make a matching hat that fits perfectly.

size, using almost any yarn. What you will do is measure yourself, measure the gauge that comes from your yarn, and then perform some easy calculations to get the figures needed to knit this vest. You are the designer!
