Lots of Scarf Knitting Patterns
Three Patterns in this Pack
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Scarves are such a great knitting project. The only problem you can run into in knitting a scarf is in choosing a knitting stitch that curls in at the sides - thus giving you a tube to wear around your neck - rather than what you were wanting: a scarf! We have several great ideas in this set of knitting patterns for getting your scarf knitting days off to a good start.
Tip: Use a very soft yarn so the scarf does not scratch your neck.
- Multi-Pattern Scarf: This scarf uses ten patterns combining the knit purl stitch. Perfect for the knitter wishing to increase skills. Looks great too! I use this pattern when I teach knitting classes to teach the power of knit-purl combinations.
- Lace Scarves: I have been fascinated with lace scarves lately because they are the perfect project for my spindle spun yarn. I love to spin exotic (and expensive) fibers on my little spindles, and a lace scarf is the perfect medium to show off all my little bits of yarn. These patterns give numerous options for lace scarf.
- Tucked Scarf: This scarf wraps around your neck with one side tucking into a little sleeve on the other. Two versions: garter stitch and lace. Very stylish and easy to make.
By downloading these three patterns you pay less than the price of two individually mailed! And you don't pay for shipping -- That adds up to big savings.
Yarn Suggestion: Good with virtually any type of yarn if right needles are chosen. Lace scarves are best with a fine yarn. Will need approximately 3-7 ounces, depending on size.
As with all SpinCraft Knitting Patterns these items can be knit to any size, using almost any yarn. What you will do is measure yourself, measure the gauge that comes from your yarn, and then perform some easy calculations to get the figures needed to knit this piece. You are the designer!
And best of all ... You can download all these patterns instantly into your computer!
