Side: Colorful Entrelac Knit Sweater

Skill Level: Advanced. Must have a good concept of sweater shaping to succeed with this sweater. Once you get going on the entrelac, you will find it easy to do.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 24 to 28 ounces, depending on size.

Entrelac squares are knit one by one, each "row" with a different color. It's like weaving a basket. This sweater is knit from sleeve to sleeve. Diagrams help with the entrelac design. The dimension of the squares determine the size. Diagrams in the pattern help you get going with this interesting form of knitting. Sweater is bulky, oversized.

This sweater can be knit to any size with a wide variety of yarns. As with all our patterns, the secret is in the math calculations. The entrelac makes the calculations a little challenging, but this "oversize" sweater is very forgiving in its final fit. It can be made with your selection of colors. The picture below is my version of the Entrelac Sweater.

 

As with all SpinCraft Knitting Patterns this sweater can be knit to any size, using almost any yarn. What you will do is measure yourself, measure the gauge that comes from your yarn, and then perform some easy calculations to get the figures needed to knit this sweater. You are the designer!
