Knit Gloves and Mittens Pattern

Skill Level: Esay. A good way to get started on gloves and mittens.
Yarn Suggestion: Mittens are great with any yarn, including bulky. Gloves are better with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 5 to 6 ounces, depending on size.

Tired of knitting socks from the top down? Here are instructions for doing them the other way. The advantage is that you can get the foot done, and then make the cuff as long or as short as you like.

Knit Mitten Pattern

Knitting on circular needles is perfect for a sock knit from the toe up. The advantage of this is that you can get the foot done, and then make the cuff as long or short as you like. As with any SpinCraft Pattern you can use this basic shape and add color or texture designs that strike your fancy.

Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn if you are doing a colorful tam. Bulky yarn can also make a great tam. Will need approximately 2 to 4 ounces of different color yarns, depending on size.

Lots of variations. Many colors are possible in these versatile patterns. Or try a tam of lace in the round.

Knit Hat Pattern

Skill Level: Experienced. Loops are really fun to make.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 14 - 18 ounces for full set, depending on size. Fun loop-knitting pattern makes a fluff around the face. Attached scarf keeps your neck warm. Easy two-color knitting pattern on top of hat matches mittens and leg warmers.

Colorful Knit Hat Pattern
