Cables, Color & Lace Knit Vest

Skill Level: Advanced. Lots of elements to blend together into one amazing work of art. Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 12 to 15 ounces, depending on size. Will need about 2 ounces contrasting color in same weight.

Lace Knit Vest

Skill Level: Experienced. Lace patterns are given as written instructions, and also in charts. Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 8 to 10 ounces, depending on weight of yarn, length and size.
 

I made mine long, but this vest can be made to any length. It is great for dancing! Attractive lace scallops begin on bottom of vest. Lace pattern is simple to follow from charted diagrams.

Knit Scarf Pattern

Skill Level: Intermediate. Uses numerous knit-purl texture patterns. I use it in knitting lessons to teach the value of the purl stitch.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 5 to 6 ounces, depending on size.

This scarf uses ten patterns combining the knit purl stitch. Perfect for the knitter wishing to increase skills. Looks great too!

Lace Knit Scarf Pattern

Skill Level: Experienced. Beautiful lace that grows from a point.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine weight yarn. Will need approximately 4 ounces, depending on size.

This scarf wraps around your neck with one side tucking into a little sleeve on the other. Two versions: garter stitch and lace. Very stylish and easy to make.

Plain & Lace Knit Leg Warmer Pattern

Skill Level: Experienced. Short rows are done on shaping flaps over feet.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 10 to 14 ounces, depending on size.
 

Keeps your ankles and feet warm too. Flared bottom fits nicely over shoes to keep drafts off. Easy to knit with no measuring and no swatch!! Comes with lace version.

Lace Knit Headgear Pattern

Skill Level: Experienced. Lots of lace patterns in this piece.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine yarn, and great with an exotic such as Yak or Cashmere. Will need approximately 3-4 ounces, depending on size.
 

A wimple is a lace tube which can drape up over the ears and face, or snuggle down on the neck. This pattern gives two variations: straight or shaped. Wimples are perfect for small bits of exotic fibers such as yak, alpaca, or silk blends.

Knit Cape Pattern

Skill Level: Experienced. Lots of great lace on this cape.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Use a soft yarn so it will be comfortable. Will need approximately 20-24 ounces, depending on size.
 

Wrap up with a good book and this snuggly cape: cables and lace patterns enhance this easy project. Knit from the collar down. Lots of texture keeps the knitting interesting. Buttons up the front.

Knit Shawl Pattern

Skill Level: Experienced. This pattern uses a fairly easy lace chart. The first shaping is a bit challenging, but once you get going, you'll be able to sit back and knit with brainless bliss.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 12 to24 ounces, depending on size. Nice thing about this shawl is that you can just knit until your yarn runs out. Can be virtually any size.
 

Crochet Shawl Pattern

Skill Level: Intermediate. Uses fairly simple crochet stitches.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine to medium weight yarn. Will need approximately 6 to 8 ounces, depending on size.

This is an easy shawl, but very attractive. The procedure is quite simple, first you crochet the center triangle starting at the tip and increasing both ends until it reaches down below your derrière. Then the lacy edge is added on around the outside.

Lace Baby Sweater

Skill Level: Experienced. This sweater has a band of fairly easy to knit lace.
Yarn Suggestion: Best with a fine weight yarn. Yarn should be very soft for baby. Will need approximately 5 to 6 ounces, depending on size.
 

Lace hearts rim this sweater. Knit from the neck down, charts give typical sizes for babies. Make easy booties in matching yarn.
